To Transferor and Transferee of Bankruptcy Claims
In connection with the civil rehabilitation proceedings of the rehabilitation debtor MtGox Co., Ltd. (“MTGOX”) the case number of which is “Tokyo District Court; Case No. 2017 (sai) 35” (the “Civil Rehabilitation Proceedings”), we are contacting you as the concerned parties who attempted to notify the bankruptcy trustee of the transfer of bankruptcy claims in the previous bankruptcy proceedings of MTGOX the case number of which is “Tokyo District Court; Case No. 2014 (fu) 3830” (the “Bankruptcy Proceedings”).
Your notification of transfer of claim was not properly made in the Bankruptcy Proceedings. In order to perfect the assignment or transfer of relevant claims against the trustee in the Civil Rehabilitation Proceedings (“Rehabilitation Trustee”), both the transferor and the transferee must file a new notice of transfer in the Civil Rehabilitation Proceedings. Also, in the Civil Rehabilitation Proceedings, a creditor who wishes to participate in the proceedings needs to file proofs of claim. The filing must be made through the Offline Method as explained at the website below.

For the transferee (i.e., acquirer) of the bankruptcy claims filed in the Bankruptcy Proceedings, such transferee may file a proof of claim, which must be accompanied with (a) an executed Notice of Transfer of Claim (which is explained below), and(b) a copy of identity verification documents of the transferee, such as a copy of the transferee’s passport, driver’s license or any identity card which contains a photo of his/her face and his/her name written in English or Japanese. Further, if the transferor did not, during the Bankruptcy Proceedings, enter the transferee’s name and click the button of “Save” on the screen for transfers of claims which appeared after logging in to the online filing system of the Bankruptcy Proceedings when he/she attempted to send a notification of claim transfer,(c) a copy of identity verification documents of the transferor, such as a copy of the passport, driver’s license or any identity card which contains a
photo of his/her face and his/her name written in English or Japanese is also required to be submitted.
If you intend to file your proof of claim through an agent, you also need to submit a properly executed power of attorney to demonstrate your proper authorization of your agent.

Again, please note that, the transferee of the bankruptcy claims can only use the Offline method for filing.
Notice of Transfer of Claim
Please print out the form for “Notice of Transfer of Claim (for Offline Method-B)” attached to this email, and fill in the form, have the form signed or affixed with a seal by both the transferor and the transferee, and send the properly completed form to the Office of Rehabilitation Trustee together with the proofs of rehabilitation claim and relevant identity verification documents. Please note that this “Notice of Transfer of Claim (for Offline Method-B)” form is only used for the transfer notice of bankruptcy claims which were filed in the Bankruptcy Proceedings and have not been filed in the Civil Rehabilitation Proceedings.
